Avionics Technician

Overview

  • Are you a highly skilled and motivated Technician?

  • If you are, don’t miss out on a terrific opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and implementation of propulsion, robotics, and guidance subsystems for the next generation of satellites being developed in India.

  • You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians to ensure the development of robotic, guidance, propulsion, and other satellite subsystems.

  • You will develop hardware and interfaces for all of those subsystems and see them come alive both on and off the planet!

Responsibilities

Algorithm Development & Flight Dynamics Software

  • Design, build, and maintain production-grade algorithms for Orbit Determination (OD), optimal maneuver planning (impulsive and low-thrust), and attitude determination.

  • Develop automated pipelines for Conjunction Assessment (CA) and Collision Avoidance (COLA) screening, including risk evaluation and maneuver trade studies.

  • Continuously improve flight dynamics tools using operational telemetry data to refine sensor alignments, thruster scale factors, and orbital force models.

Spacecraft Operations & Telemetry Analysis

  • Perform console duties during active mission phases, including Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP), orbit raising, rendezvous, and routine station-keeping.

  • Coordinate with ground station partners to ensure visibility of the spacecraft and seamless flow of data to our operations centre.

  • Schedule and execute telecommand and telemetry requests during upcoming ground passes.

  • Monitor and analyze real-time and playback telemetry across guidance, navigation, and control (GNC/ADCS), propulsion, and GPS/sensor subsystems.

  • Build automated health-monitoring rules, trend dashboards, and anomaly detectors to evaluate fleet health and orbital decay models.

  • Lead rapid anomaly investigations for off-nominal orbital behavior, sensor degradation, or maneuver execution errors, delivering clear root-cause analyses and mitigation plans.

  • Design and develop hardware considering the form-factor, modularity, and ease of use by the testing and validation team.

  • Take ownership of test setup preparations, PCB level assembly and disassembly, harness setup preparation, integration, testing and documentation

  • Work in collaboration with firmware and checkout engineers to execute test plans during integration and validation.

  • Design solutions adhering to industrial workmanship standards.
