Job Description: Embedded Systems Engineer

Position Overview:

Are you a highly skilled and motivated embedded systems engineer? If you are, don’t miss out on a terrific chance to contribute to the design, development, and implementation of robotics and guidance subsystems for the next generation of satellites rolling out of India. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians to ensure the development of robotic, guidance, propulsion, and other satellite subsystems. You will develop codes for all of those subsystems and see them come alive both on and off the planet!

Responsibilities:

1. Interact with the rest of the subsystem teams to gather embedded systems-related requirements and analyze them thoroughly.

2. Design and develop real-time system-embedded software on STM, ARM, and LEON processors.

3. Write quick and dirty codes to support the development of various subsystems.

4. Develop software framework for continuous integration and development, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.

Expected Skills:

1. Bachelor's/Diploma in related engineering fields.

2. Understanding of real-time operating systems.

3. Practical experience with RTEMS FreeRTOS or other operating systems is a plus.

4. Strong programming skills in Embedded C or C++ ( has done projects on cars/drones/moving things/etc.)

5. Experience in GUI development using Python or Ruby.

6. Experience with git version control.

7. ‘Can do’ attitude to solve problems.

Desired Skills:

1. Advanced Degree in Engineering or Science (master/PhD).

2. Experience writing multi-threading and/or multiple-processing software.

3. Experience with building interface software to talk to hardware over TCP- IP / UDP /CAN / SPI / RS485 / SpaceWire.

4. Experience with SQL and C# to build a user interface with databases.

5. Have used Jira or Bitbucket to create continuous integration workflows.

6. Has fundamental knowledge of classical control theory and signal processing.
