Job Description: AOCS engineer

Location: Thane, Maharashtra
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview:

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated AOCS engineers(Junior/Senior) to contribute to the design, development, and implementation of GNC & Flight Dynamics for the next generation of satellites rolling out of India. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to ensure the development of these complex systems. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop control and navigation algorithms for rendezvous and proximity operations in LEO/GEO

  • Build simulation models of relative sensors like cameras and lidar 

  • Implement algorithms in MATLAB/C/C++/Python environment

  • Support Software and Hardware In Loop test beds for testing

  • Support definition of mission concept of operations

  • Coordinate with other subsystems to understand sensor & actuator requirements

Expected Skills:

  • Bachelors in Mechanical/Aerospace/Electrical engineering fields

  • In depth knowledge of spacecraft attitude dynamics and orbital mechanics

  • Basic knowledge of sensors and actuators used for small satellites ADCS

  • Experience with basic control algorithms like PID

  • Familiarity with flight dynamics tools like STK/GMAT

  • ‘Can do’ attitude to solve problems and take ownership of products

  • Comfortable working with both hardware and software

Desired Skills:

  • Advanced degree in engineering or science (Masters/PhD)

  • Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills, balancing multifaceted requirements, assessing risks, and making informed design and development decisions

  • Familiar with basics of embedded system and protocols like SPI/CAN/RS422 etc.

  • Experience in building GUIs for faster visualization using open source tools

  • Experience in supporting Assembly, Integration & Testing(AIT) of satellites
