Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience working on relevant projects involving complex simulations such as mixing, combustion, supersonic flows, fluid-solid interaction, and reaction chemistry. Proficiency with leading CFD tools like ANSYS Fluent, CFX, Siemens STAR-CCM+, and Chemkin is essential.

This role requires a strong understanding of advanced fluid dynamics, reaction modeling, and simulation techniques to solve challenging engineering problems and deliver innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-fidelity CFD simulations for mixing, combustion, supersonic flows, and fluid-solid interactions.

  • Develop, validate, and optimize models to simulate complex physical phenomena and reaction chemistry using Chemkin or similar tools.

  • Use CFD tools like ANSYS Fluent, CFX, Siemens STAR-CCM+, or equivalent software for simulations.

  • Analyze simulation results, interpret key findings, and provide actionable insights for design improvements.

  • Conduct sensitivity analyses and parametric studies to assess system behavior under varying conditions.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate implementation of CFD results into the design and development process.

  • Document methodologies, prepare technical reports, and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in CFD technologies, methods, and applications to improve workflows.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working on relevant projects involving CFD simulations.

  • Proficiency in CFD tools like ANSYS Fluent, CFX, Siemens STAR-CCM+, or similar software.

  • Solid understanding of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and chemical reaction modeling.

  • Hands-on experience with Chemkin or equivalent tools for reaction chemistry simulations.

  • Strong programming/scripting skills (Python, MATLAB, or C++) for pre/post-processing and workflow automation.

  • Demonstrated ability to validate CFD models against experimental or benchmark data.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in teams.

  • Strong communication skills to effectively present complex technical information.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with multiphase flow simulations and turbulence modeling.

  • Familiarity with high-speed aerodynamics and supersonic flow behavior.

  • Knowledge of machine learning applications in CFD.

  • Practical experience in experimental validation and data acquisition.
