InspeCity Raises ₹100 Crore in Pre-Series A Funding to Take Its In-Space Servicing Architecture from Lab to Orbit
Round led by Speciale Invest and Ashish Kacholia, with participation from Antler Elevate, Antler India, Manish Gandhi, Shastra VC, and others
The pre-Series A funding will support four in-orbit missions over the next 12-18 months, advancing flight qualification across propulsion, sensing, autonomous operations, robotics, docking and refuelling.
InspeCity will also scale propulsion systems and inspection satellite offerings, strengthen its engineering teams, and advance its roadmap for in-space servicing and life extension.
India, 27th August, 2026: InspeCity, one of the leading space technology companies in India building technologies and platforms for in-space servicing, mobility, and satellite life-extension, has raised ₹100 crore, approximately US$10.5 million, in its pre-Series A round.
The round was led by Speciale Invest and Ashish Kacholia, with participation from Antler Elevate, Antler India, Manish Gandhi, Shastra VC, and others.
The venture financing marks InspeCity's transition from developing and validating technologies for autonomous operations in space to flight qualification, orbital deployment, and commercial delivery.
Founded in 2022, InspeCity began with a long-term thesis it calls Earth 2.0: which posits that space economy and space asset management will require infrastructure capable of moving, inspecting, maintaining, repairing, refuelling, and assembling assets in space.
The company's near-term answer is Vehicle for life-Extension and Deorbiting Activities (VEDA), an autonomous in-space servicing architecture designed to extend satellite lifetimes and progressively enable more sophisticated orbital servicing.
InspeCity has therefore broken satellite life-extension into the fundamental capabilities required for autonomous operations in space.
These include GITA (Green Impulse TrAnsmitter) for spacecraft propulsion and mobility; CHAKSU (Comprehensive AI-enabled satellite-tracking Sensor Unit) for sensing, navigation, and proximity operations; RAMA (Remotely Actuated Motorized Arm) for robotic manipulation; and SPARSH (Self-aligning Port for Autonomous Refueling and Satellite Housekeeping) for cooperative docking and in-orbit propellant transfer.
Together, these technologies are the building blocks for increasingly capable orbital platforms spanning RIG (Remote Inspection and Guidance), VEDA, and SAMA (Space Based Maintenance Asset).
The ₹100 crore financing will support InspeCity’s next phase of flight qualification, commercial deployment and scale-up.
Over the next 12-18 months, the company plans to execute four in-orbit missions across the RIG-X, VEDA-X and SAMA-X mission roadmap, progressively validating its propulsion, sensing, autonomous operations, robotics, docking and refuelling capabilities in space.
In parallel, InspeCity will scale commercial deployment of its GITA propulsion systems and RIG-based capabilities, while expanding engineering, manufacturing and mission execution capacity.
